This page explains what Waymarker (gardenpath.top) collects when you visit, why, and how to ask for it to be removed.

What we collect

There are no accounts, no comments and no contact forms, so we collect no personal information that you submit. Server logs record the time of the request, the URL requested, the referring page, the browser identifier and the IP address. These are used for security and capacity and are retained for no longer than 30 days.

Advertising and cookies

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie — its advertising cookie — enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Where your region requires consent, we ask for it through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised advertising cookies are set.

GDPR (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. The only personal data we process is the technical data in server logs, on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, namely keeping the service secure and available. Consent for advertising is taken under Article 6(1)(a) and may be withdrawn at any time.

CCPA (California)

California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, use and disclose, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email the address below and we will respond within 45 days.

Third parties

We use Google AdSense to serve advertising and Google Fonts to serve typefaces. A font request sends your IP address and browser identifier to Google's servers. Beyond those, no third-party scripts are loaded, no social plugins are embedded, and no cross-site tracking is performed.
